Become a Wingwalker

Special rates for Groups (all major Credit/Debit cards taken)

We offer Wingwalking training between April and October - an experience that culminates in you having the opportunity to wing-walk. If you meet the criteria below to become a member of the display team as a Wing Walker, your training will include Safety awareness, detailed instructions on the use of the Rig and seatbelts, breathing techniques for flying at high speeds and the Hand Signals to be used by the Wing Walker and pilot as the method of communication during flight.  The trainee will be certified as a Wing Walker once they have completed their own display.

NOTE: The CAA has deemed Wingwalking to be a Display activity and NOT a sport so raising money for Charity by being SPONSORED to Wingwalk is NOT allowed.

To qualify as a Wingwalker you must be:

Under 6 feet (1.83m) tall and 170lbs in weight

Be able to climb up the aircraft to the top wing where the Rig is fixed (about 10 feet)

More than 18 years old
– if older than 65 you will require a Doctor’s letter stating your fitness for training

For further information - please send an email via our contacts page

The Display

A Wing Walking display consists of a full routine at speeds of up to 135mph
Once airborne, various low level flypasts at 50 feet are undertaken using different approach paths and varying angles of bank - and then, when you thought you’d got the hang of that, the Display culminates in a dive from 500ft and a Zoom Climb with a final “Run and Break” before landing.
This intense experience lasts about 10 minutes – a time when the wingwalker can feel supreme enjoyment of being at one with the elements.
